The New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance is offering a new course designed to assist eligibility workers throughout the state in administering the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Screening and Referral Form. Barriers to Self-Sufficiency - Screening for Alcohol and Substance Abuse is an interactive, web-based course that thoroughly explains the screening and referral form, demonstrates how to administer it effectively, and helps learners make appropriate referrals for assessment.

This course is the second of two web-based courses de signed to support the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Identification Training classroom program. It may be taken as a stand-alone course, or together with Barriers to Self-Sufficiency - Overview of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.
