Veterans Benefits Video: Serving Those Who Served
Video to Help Veterans Secure Vital Supports
Partnership Aims to Serve Those Who Served
State, federal, and local officials gathered at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center on August 22, 2007 to preview and promote a newly produced video designed to help increase awareness of the many services and benefits available to veterans as a result of their military service.
The 17-minute video, “Serving Those Who Served,” was produced by the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) in collaboration with the State Division of Veterans’ Affairs, the State Department of Labor, the United State Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare Network Upstate New York, NY/NJ Veterans Healthcare Network, and Veterans Benefits Administration.
The video includes an overview of just some of these benefits including health care, service and non-service connected disability compensation, educational support, and employment assistance, available through various state and federal programs. Veterans will also learn how and where they can receive free assistance in obtaining these benefits.
