Once you apply for child support, CSE will provide all the necessary services to help you get the child support you need for your child(ren). These services include:

  • Locating the non-custodial parent
  • Assisting in establishing paternity, if necessary
  • Preparing a petition for court to obtain a child support order
  • Collecting and disbursing child support payments
  • Enforcing the child support order, if necessary
  • Providing information on Cost of Living Adjustment, or filing a modification petition of the child support order, if circumstances have changed

To understand these services in more detail, review Module 1 of this program. It explains all of the CSE program functions and the services that child support workers provide.
