Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA): Eligibility

The COLA criteria are:


  • a New York child support order is at least two years old
  • the sum of the average annual change in the Consumer Pricing Index-Urban (Cost of Living Adjustment) is equal to or greater than 10%
 A child support obligation is eligible for a cost of living adjustment if it meets the required criteria.
