Module 1: Overview of NYS CSE Program

Support Enforcement: Administrative Enforcement

Income Execution

What Happens?

Child support payments are deducted by the employer from the non-custodial parent's (NCP) wages and sent to the Support Collection Unit.

The amount deducted may include an additional amount if past support is owed.

Why it Happens?

All child support orders require an employer to deduct child support from an employee's wages if the NCP is employed and the employer receives an Income Execution (IEX) notice.
