Learning Disability Awareness and Accommodations Training
Program Description
The material presented here will assist staff to identify possible learning barriers which may affect their clients’ employability and job retention and assure that these individuals receive appropriate workplace accommodations and/or vocational rehabilitation services. The training provides background information on the nature and effects of learning disabilities, the difficulties of detection and remediation, and strategies for improving a client’s chances for success. Specific tools that will be presented are the Washington State Learning Needs Screening Tool and the CAMS/NY assessment of functional limitations.

- Target audience is local district and JOBS staff performing Employment functions.
Program Length
2 hours
