Information Security Awareness
Course Description:
This course provides a fundamental overview of staff responsibilities when using OTDA IT systems and handling OTDA and client confidential and sensitive information. It is based on State and OTDA policies related to information security and confidentiality. These policies apply to all users who have access to OTDA information, systems/applications and/or the human services enterprise network (HSEN).
Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Understand what information security is and why it’s important.
- Recognize your individual responsibilities as a member of the OTDA workforce in protecting information assets.
- Identify various types and classifications of information.
- List the procedures for protecting information in all its forms and when using your computer, phone, fax machine and other office tools.
- Respond quickly and properly to information security incidences.
