Food Stamps - Earned and Unearned Income
Course Description
Food Stamps: Earned and Unearned Income identifies the different types of income sources that a recipient may report, and explores how this income affects overall eligibility. The course outlines how income sources are handled for Food Stamp (NTA/FS) and Temporary Assistance/Food Stamp (TA/FS) cases, examines several of the most common errors, reviews various income limit tests, and demonstrates how to enter budget information in WMS ABEL. Interactive examples and realistic scenarios are used to illustrate the concepts taught in this course.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:

- Understand how to treat terminated sources of income
- Calculate anticipated income
- Recognize the variations between TA and FS treatments
