Front End Detection System (FEDS)
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Understand the purpose of FEDS
- Describe local district requirements related to FEDS
- Identify roles of eligibility workers, investigators, supervisors, and OTDA Audit and Quality Control in the FEDS process
- Explore issues faced by staff in meeting FEDS requirements
- Identify signs of fraud
- Make an effective FEDS referral
- Detect obvious examples of counterfeit or altered documents
- Use different techniques for interviewing applicants
- Identify the benefits of a smoothly run FEDS process
Target Audience
- Local District Social Services eligibility workers and OTDA program staff
Prerequisites
- Basic understanding of temporary assistance eligibility
